Enrique Bernoldi has raced in many top racing disciplines including F1
Before IndyCar[]
After karting he entered Formula 3000 driving for the Red Bull Junior Team. After impressing in this series he was offered a job from the Arrows Formula One Team. Enrique accepted. He stayed on for the 2002 season. Unfortunately for him the Arrows team closed midway through the season due to a lack of funds. He then entered the World Series by Nissan where he won many races and finished 3rd in 2004. In 2007 he returned to his homeland to drive in the popular Stock Car Brasil series.
IndyCar[]
In 2008 he and his sponsors struck a deal to race with the Rocketsports team in Champ Car With the cancellation of the Champ Car series and Rocketsports unwilling to move to the IndyCar series he struck a deal to drive with Conquest Racing He posted his best finish in the Champ Car Finale at Long Beach (running with Indycar points) with a 4th place. He also posted a 5th place at the St Pete rainy road race. His best finish at an oval wasat the 93rd running of the Indianapolis 500 where he finished 15th. His time at Conquest Racing was not without trouble when he crashed with his teammate Jamie Camara at Watkins Glen and then proceeded to blame his team. He was replaced by Alex Tagliani for the last 2 rounds due to problems with his thumb. It is unlikely he will compete in IndyCar in the 2009 season.
